Hornitos

Hornitos are small lava cones formed along the top of lava tubes where an opening in the upper solid crust occurs. As the lava travels and flows along its channel, it produces small droplets that spread outward, forming a small pile around the opening, called a hornito. They are essentially cones of drops. The large ones are called splash cones and have a smooth shape with gentle slopes.
